Medium: Oil, Collage on canvas

One night, the artist went out from his studio to dispose a garbage and among the pile of trash he encountered a couple in their pushcart. Those threadbare souls came for empty bottles or whatever worth scavenging, a sight that somehow gave an imprint on the artist's mind. This painting shows a begging guitarman and behind him is a woman taking respite beside their cart as she holds a baby. Without moralizing on their plight, the chosen subject assumes a certain affinity to the artist who is also a collage ragpicker himself.
