Saskatchewan Wheat Pool
Saskatchewan Wheat Pool is the largest grain handling and agricultural
marketing co-operative in Canada.
The focus of this new generation co-operative is to improve the well-being
of its approximately 57,000 farmer-members and their communities. As a
co-operative, Pool members are represented through a democratic structure,
and the Pool has two major roles: commercial and policy.
Columbia Union College
Cooperative education combines resources from employers and CUC to enhance
the educational plan for students. Cooperative education is a nationally
recognized standard for registering relevant work experience. Professions
have many facets that cannot be learned in traditional academic settings.
CIDA - Cote d'Ivoire
Côte d'Ivoire is a true country of refuge. Close to 40% of its population
is made up of foreigners, and there are as many as 400,000 refugees. A very
high rate of population growth (3.5%), combined with heavy immigration,
continually increases the domestic demand for agricultural products.
International Co-operative Alliance
The International Co-operative Alliance is an independent, non-governmental
association which unites, represents and serves co-operatives worldwide.
Frank Tulus
Frank Tulus, a graduate student at the University of Guelph, currently
enrolled in the multidisciplinary program of Sociology and Collaborative
International Development Studies.

Our local Chapter is a member of this nationwide Primary Health Care
Cooperative whose Mission and Vision is to campaign for a new kind of
Health Care Delivery System. A system that is linked to 30 areas with 42
hospitals in the Philippines.
SMISLE
The Small Islands Agricultural Support Services Programme or SMISLE
promotes sustainable development of small island communities in the
Visayas. With SMISLE, these communities now have a different yet special
reason to smile.
